I. Indroduction. Two recent publications have dealt with the structure of anhydrous sodium Sulfate^). Gossner and Mussgnug's paper gives a coordination number of 4 only for sodium, with sodium to oxygen distances of 2. 06 Ä and 2.25 A. This result hardly agrees with evidence from other atomic arrangements. Moreover there can not be found the slightest agreement between observed and calculated intensities. (It is to be remarked that in the paper neither observed nor calculated intensities are… Expand

High-pressure crystal chemistry of chromous orthosilicate, Cr2SiO4. A single-crystal X-ray diffraction and electronic absorption spectroscopy study
Abstract The high-pressure behaviour of chromous orthosilicate, Cr2SiO4, has been studied by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction and electronic absorption spectroscopy. X-ray diffraction dataExpand
Hydrothermal Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Spectroscopic Properties of Pure and Eu3+-Doped NaY[SO4]2 ∙ H2O and Its Anhydrate NaY[SO4]2
The water-soluble colorless compound NaY[SO4]2 ∙ H2O was synthesized with wet methods in a Teflon autoclave by adding a mixture of Na2[SO4] and Y2[SO4]3 ∙ 8 H2O to a small amount of water and heatingExpand
Preparation and photoelectronic properties of the system Cd2Ge1−xSixO4
Abstract Members of the system Cd2Ge1−xSixO4 where 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.4 have been prepared. These compounds were observed to crystallize with the olivine structure, space group Pbnm. The resistivity, HallExpand

Abstract The elastic stiffness coefficients, cij, of orthorhombic Na2SO4 thenardite (space group Fddd) were measäured with an ultrasonic plane wave technique at ambient temperature as a function ofExpand
The Effect of Moisture on Cellulose Nanocrystals Intended as a High Gas Barrier Coating on Flexible Packaging Materials
TLDR
The characterization of CNCs was aimed at understanding the fundamentals of the water-CNCs interaction and proposing counteractions, and points to the opportunity of coupling C NCs with hydrophobic layers in order to boost their capabilities as barrier packaging materials. Expand
