The crystal structure of REINECKES Salt, the formula for which is generally written N H ^ C r f i C N ^ N H ^ ] • H¡0, has been determined by X-ray diffraction, using twoand three-dimensional Fourier methods. The salt crystallizes as well-formed garnet-red rhombic dodecahedra from a mixture of ethyl alcohol and water. The Laue symmetry is 0h—m3m, and the unit cell dimension, derived from rotation and WEISSENBERG photographs, is a = 13.25 + 0.02 Â, with six formula units per cell ; h, k, I…

Structure of Reineckate Complex Ion
The crystal structure analyses of Reinecke’s salt, pyridine reineckate and choline reineckate established the configuration and bond characters of the reineckate complex ion, [Cr(NCS)4(NH3)2]−. The
The vibrational spectra and structure of Si(NCO)4 and Ge(NCO)4
Abstract Raman spectra (with polarizations) and infrared absorption from 80 to 4000 cm −1 are reported for Si(NCO) 4 and Ge(NCO) 4 . The spectra of both compounds are surprisingly simple and indicate
