Abstract The correct type localities were noted for the following mosquito species: 1) Sabethes fabricii, municipality of Angra dos Reis, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; 2) Sa. soperi 1942, municipality of Nova Iguaçu, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and 3) Wyeomyia finlayi 1942, Xerém, in the municipality of Duque de Caxias, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
