In 1997 we began the Meudon Multicolor Survey of Outer Solar System Objects with the aim of collecting a large and homogeneous set of color data for trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) and Centaurs. Here we present our latest B-V, V-R, and R-I color measurements obtained with the CFH12K mosaic camera of the 3.6 m Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope. With the colors of 30 objects reported in this work, we have a combined sample of 52 B-R color measurements for eight Centaurs, 22 classical TNOs, 13… Expand
Colors of Inner Disk Classical Kuiper Belt Objects
• Physics
• 2010
We present new optical broadband colors, obtained with the Keck 1 and Vatican Advanced Technology telescopes, for six objects in the inner classical Kuiper Belt. Objects in the inner classical KuiperExpand
NEAR-INFRARED COLOR PROPERTIES OF KUIPER BELT OBJECTS AND CENTAURS: FINAL RESULTS FROM THE ESO LARGE PROGRAM
We present near-IR JHK broadband photometry for 17 Kuiper Belt objects (KBOs) and Centaurs. The observations were performed within the ESO Large Program on the Physical Properties of Kuiper BeltExpand
The Meudon Multicolor Survey (2MS) of Centaurs and trans-neptunian objects: extended dataset and status on the correlations reported
Abstract We present here the latest B − V , V − R , and R − I color measurements obtained with the CFH12K mosaic camera of the 3.6-m Canada–France–Hawaii Telescope (CFHT). This work is the latestExpand
COLOUR PROPERTIES AND TRENDS IN TRANS-NEPTUNIAN OBJECTS
One of the most puzzling features of the Kuiper Belt, which has been confirmedby numerous surveys, is the optical colour diversity that seems to prevail among the observed TNOs. TNOs and CentaursExpand
Colors and taxonomy of Centaurs and trans-Neptunian objects
Context. The study of the surface properties of Centaurs and trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) provides essential information about the early conditions and evolution of the outer Solar System. Due toExpand
Physical survey of 24 Centaurs with visible photometry
Abstract We present optical observations of 24 Centaurs performed between 1998 and 2002 with the University of Hawaii 2.2-m telescope. This is the largest such Centaur survey to date. We reportExpand
The Meudon Multicolor Survey (2MS) of Centaurs and Trans-Neptunian Objects: From Visible to Infrared Colors
We present the latest results of the Meudon Multicolor Survey. This survey is aimed at characterizing the color properties and trends of Centaurs and trans-Neptunian objects. We report IJHKExpand
The bimodal colors of Centaurs and small Kuiper belt objects
• Physics
• 2012
Ever since the very first photometric studies of Centaurs and Kuiper belt objects (KBOs) their visible color distribution has been controversial. This controversy has triggered to a prolific debateExpand
THE HUBBLE WIDE FIELD CAMERA 3 TEST OF SURFACES IN THE OUTER SOLAR SYSTEM: THE COMPOSITIONAL CLASSES OF THE KUIPER BELT
• Physics
• 2012
We present the first results of the Hubble Wide Field Camera 3 Test of Surfaces in the Outer Solar System. The purpose of this survey was to measure the surface properties of a large number of KuiperExpand
Photometric survey of the irregular satellites
Abstract We present BVRI colors of 13 jovian and 8 saturnian irregular satellites obtained with the 2.56 m Nordic Optical Telescope on La Palma, the 6.5 m Magellan Baade Telescope on La Campanas, andExpand
