The DNS (direct numerical simulation) methods have being researched extensively to analyze the ONB (onset of nucleate boiling) and to help identify the functional form of the closure laws for some other flow regimes, such as bubbly, slug, and annular flows. However, the many DNS methods show a severe time cost and numerical diffusion according to the motion of interfaces.
