We present new measurements of the centers for 65 Milky Way globular clusters. Centers were determined by fitting ellipses to the density distribution within the inner $2\arcmin$ of the cluster center, and averaging the centers of these ellipses. The symmetry of clusters was also analyzed by comparing cumulative radial distributions on opposite sides of the cluster across a grid of trial centers. All of the determinations were done with stellar positions derived from a combination of two single… Expand

An analysis of stellar populations in globular clusters
This thesis is composed of three chapters, as well as an introduction, which describe three distinct projects. In Chapter 2 we present new measurements of the centers for 65 Milky Way globularExpand
The binary populations of eight globular clusters in the outer halo of the Milky Way
We analyse color-magnitude diagrams of eight Globular Clusters (GCs) in the outer Galactic Halo. Images were taken with the Wide Field Channel of the Advanced Camera for Survey and the UltravioletExpand
UV observations of the globular cluster M10 from HST and GALEX. The BSS population
We present a combination of high-resolution Hubble Space Telescope and wide-field ground-based and Galaxy Evolution Explorer data of the Galactic Globular Cluster M10 (NGC6254). By using this largeExpand
Central kinematics of the Galactic globular cluster M80
We use spectra observed with the integral-field spectrograph Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE) to reveal the central kinematics of the Galactic globular cluster Messier 80 (M80, NGC 6093).Expand
Quantifying mass segregation and new core radii for 54 milky way globular clusters
We present core radii for 54 Milky Way globular clusters determined by fitting King-Michie models to cumulative projected star count distributions. We find that fitting star counts rather thanExpand
The Binary Fraction in the Globular Cluster M10 (NGC?6254): Comparing Core and Outer Regions
We study the binary fraction of the globular cluster M10 (NGC 6254) as a function of the radius from the cluster core to the outskirts, by means of a quantitative analysis of the color distributionExpand
MUSE crowded field 3D spectroscopy of over 12,000 stars in the globular cluster NGC 6397 - II. Probing the internal dynamics and the presence of a central black hole
We present a detailed analysis of the kinematics of the Galactic globular cluster NGC 6397 based on more than ~18,000 spectra obtained with the novel integral field spectrograph MUSE. While NGC 6397Expand
STAR COUNT DENSITY PROFILES AND STRUCTURAL PARAMETERS OF 26 GALACTIC GLOBULAR CLUSTERS
We used an appropriate combination of high-resolution Hubble Space Telescope observations and wide-field, ground-based data to derive the radial stellar density profiles of 26 Galactic globularExpand
The central dynamics of M3, M13, and M92: stringent limits on the masses of intermediate-mass black holes
We used the PMAS integral field spectrograph to obtain large sets of radial velocities in the central regions of three northern Galactic globular clusters: M3, M13, and M92. By applying the novelExpand
The Peculiar Radial Distribution of Multiple Populations in the massive globular cluster M80
We present a detailed analysis of the radial distribution of light-element multiple populations (LE-MPs) in the massive and dense globular cluster M80 based on the combination of UV and opticalExpand

Two distinct sequences of blue straggler stars in the globular cluster M 30
TLDR
It is suggested that the two observed sequences of blue stragglers in M 30 are a consequence of cluster core collapse, with the bluer population arising from direct stellar collisions and the redder one arising from the evolution of close binaries that are probably still experiencing an active phase of mass transfer.
