OBJECTIVES To evaluate the stability of maxillary osteotomies in cleft palate patients using miniplate fixation. DESIGN A prospective clinical study. SUBJECTS 46 consecutive cleft palate patients with residual alveolar clefts and maxillary hypoplasia in one or more dimensions.
