OBJECTIVE To update the evidence-based recommendations for the prevention and management of hypertension in adults. OPTIONS AND OUTCOMES For lifestyle and pharmacological interventions, evidence was preferentially reviewed from randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews of trials.
