Furries have been portrayed as sexually motivated in the media and popular culture, although little empirical research has addressed this issue. If some furries are…
Erotic Target Identity Inversions Among Men and Women in an Internet Sample.
The results support the concept of ETIIs as a paraphilic dimension in non-clinical samples and the possible role of gender-related psychological factors and suggest that it may be important to distinguish between subgroups of those with different levels and types of ETII arousal/expression.
Background: Erotic target identity inversions (ETII) are poorly studied paraphilias which involve sexual arousal by the idea or fantasy of being the object of one’s sexual desires. Aim: To conduct a

Autopedophilia: Erotic-Target Identity Inversions in Men Sexually Attracted to Children
The most salient dimension of men’s sexual orientation is gender: attraction to males versus females. A second dimension is sexual maturity: attraction to children versus adults. A less appreciated
An online survey to investigate the prevalence and phenomenology of ETIIs among 475 men sexually attracted to children found autopedophilic men tended to be sexually aroused by imagining themselves as the kinds of children to whom they are sexually attracted.
Sexual Arousal Patterns of Autogynephilic Male Cross-Dressers
Similar to GAMP men, autogynephilic men showed increased arousal by GAM stimuli relative to female stimuli compared with heterosexual men, and heterosexual men were much more similar in their arousal patterns to heterosexual and GAMPMen than to homosexual men.

Sexual Attraction to Others: A Comparison of Two Models of Alloerotic Responding in Men
Comparisons of goodness of fit to the observed data favored the unidimensional bipolar model in predicting a man’s penile response to each of his less arousing stimulus categories from his response to his most arousing (preferred) stimulus category.

Paraphilic Sexual Interests and Sexually Coercive Behavior: A Population-Based Twin Study
Self-report data on paraphilic and sexually coercive behavior from 5990 18- to 32-year-old male and female twins from a contemporary Finnish population cohort indicated that paraphilic behavior among young adults in the general population increases sexual offending risk.
Paraphilic Interests
Using mediation analysis, sex drive was the only correlate to significantly and fully mediate the sex difference in paraphilic interests, with men reporting significantly less repulsion to the majority of paraphilic acts than women.
