  • The Behcet syndrome is a type of systemic vasculitis characterized by recurrent aphthous ulcers of the mouth and genitalia; various skin lesions; arthritis; and relapsing, sight-threatening panuveitis (Figure 1). Arteries and veins of all sizes, the central nervous system, and the gastrointestinal tract are involved, with serious consequences [1].
