We present a measurement of $R_{K^{\ast}}$, the ratio of the branching fractions ${\cal B}(B\to K^\ast \mu^+ \mu^-)$ and ${\cal B}(B\to K^\ast e^+ e^-)$, for both charged and neutral $B$ mesons. The ratio for charged $B$ mesons, $R_{K{^{\ast +}}}$, is the first measurement ever performed. The analysis is based on a data sample of $711~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$, containing $772\times 10^{6}$ $B\bar B$ events, recorded at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy…

Test of lepton universality with $$ {\Lambda}_b^0\to {pK}^{-}{\mathrm{\ell}}^{+}{\mathrm{\ell}}^{-} $$ decays

The ratio of branching fractions of the decays $\Lambda^{0}_{b}\to pK^{-}e^{+}e^{-}$ and $\Lambda^{0}_{b}\to pK^{-}\mu^{+}\mu^{-}$, $R^{-1}_{pK}$, is measured for the first time using proton-proton

Predictions for $$B_s \rightarrow {\bar{K}}^* \ell \,\ell $$ in non-universal $$Z'$$ models

The lepton flavor universality violating (LFUV) measurements $R_K$ and $R_{K^*}$ in $B$ meson decays can be accounted for in non-universal $Z'$ models. We constrain the couplings of these $Z'$ models

Hunting for $B^+\to K^+ \tau^+\tau^-$ imprints on the $B^+ \to K^+ \mu^+\mu^-$ dimuon spectrum

We investigate the possibility of indirectly constraining the $B^{+}\to K^{+}\tau^+\tau^-$ decay rate using precise data on the $B^{+}\to K^{+}\mu^+\mu^-$ dimuon spectrum. To this end, we estimate

Magnetic-dipole corrections to RK and RK* in the Standard Model and dark photon scenarios

In this work we evaluate the QED uncertainty related to the long-distance radiative contributions, induced by the magnetic-dipole corrections to the final charged leptons, on the $B$ meson decay

$$B^*_s\rightarrow l^+l^-$$ Decays in Light of Recent B Anomalies

Some of the recent measurements in the neutral current sector $b\rightarrow s l^+l^-$ ($l=e$ or $\mu$) as well as in the charged current sector $b \rightarrow c \tau \bar{\nu}$ show significant

Unified framework for B-anomalies, muon g − 2 and neutrino masses

We present a model of radiative neutrino masses which also resolves anomalies reported in $B$-meson decays, $R_{D^{(\star)}}$ and $R_{K^{(\star)}}$, as well as in muon $g-2$ measurement, $\Delta

Probing new physics with B¯→ρ(770)ℓ−ν¯ℓ and B¯→a1(1260)ℓ−ν¯ℓ

The $B$ meson semileptonic modes to $\rho(770)$ and $a_1 (1260)$ are useful to pin down possible non Standard Model effects. The 4d differential $\bar B \to \rho(\pi \pi) \ell^- \bar \nu_\ell$ and $

Searches for physics beyond the standard model with the $$M_{\mathrm {T2}}$$MT2 variable in hadronic final states with and without disappearing tracks in proton–proton collisions at $$\sqrt{s}=13\,\text {Te}\text {V} $$s=13Te

Two related searches for phenomena beyond the standard model (BSM) are performed using events with hadronic jets and significant transverse momentum imbalance, resulting in the most stringent constraints to date.

Complete vectorlike fourth family and new U(1)′ for muon anomalies

We consider the Standard Model (SM) with the addition of a $\mathrm{U(1)^\prime}$ gauge symmetry and a complete fourth family of quarks and leptons which are vector-like with respect to the full

New Physics in $${\varvec{b \rightarrow s \ell ^+ \ell ^-}}$$ confronts new data on lepton universality

In light of the very recent updates on the $R_K$ and $R_{K^*}$ measurements from the LHCb and Belle collaborations, we systematically explore here imprints of New Physics in $b \to s \ell^+ \ell^- $

Search for lepton-flavor-violating tau-lepton decays to ‘γ at Belle The BELLE collaboration

: Charged lepton flavor violation is forbidden in the Standard Model but pos-sible in several new physics scenarios. In many of these models, the radiative decays τ ± → ‘ ± γ ( ‘ = e, µ ) are

The LHCb Collaboration

We measure the B0 − B0 mixing frequency ∆md using ∼ 6000 B0 → D−(K+π−π−)π+ candidates from 36 pb−1 of data taken in physics runs of the LHCb experiment in 2010. We use opposite and same side tagging
