Terahertz Spectrum of Trioxane

Abstract

T h e pure rotational spec t rum of trioxane, ( f T C O ) ? the t r imer of fo rma ldehyde , has been recorded wi th high resolution in the f requency range be tween 326 and 947 G H z for the main i so topomer , the l 3 C, and the l 8 0 isotopic species in the vibrational g round state. These new high J and K data reveal that the molecule is fairly rigid. For the constants de te rminab le f r o m the recorded high J and K spectra (J = 90 and K = 75) the rotational constant
