Airway hyperresponsiveness, airway inflammation, and reversible airway obstruction are physiological hallmarks of asthma. These responses are increasingly being studied in murine models of antigen exposure and challenge, using whole body plethysmography to noninvasively assess airway hyperresponsiveness.
