The photocycle kinetics of halorhodopsin from Natronobacterium pharaonis (pHR(575)) was analyzed at different temperatures and chloride concentrations as well as various halides. Over the whole range of modified parameters the kinetics can be adequately modeled with six apparent rate constants.
