Phase transformation and melt crystallization can be accompanied by the appearance of electric charges on crystallization front, acoustical (AE), electron (EE), electromagnetic (EME) emission, or characteristic emission in infrared (CEIR, /spl lambda/ = 2-5 /spl mu/m) and visual (0.5 /spl mu/m) range of spectrum. Here the differential-ray radiation and thermal analysis (DRRTA) set-up is described, and study of the tellurium melt crystallization is carried out with use of the DRRTA method.
