Abstract This article is an evaluation of a module of study within an MA Education programme entitled ‘Subject Leadership’. The module was delivered to three cohorts of mixed secondary departmental heads and primary subject coordinators, with the intention of giving them access to tools drawn from management change theory, which would enable them to ‘make a difference’ within their schools.
