The genus Montaltus Distant is synonymized with Astacops Boisduval. Achrobrachys Horvath and Thunbergia Horvath, subgenera of Caenocoris Fieber, are raised to generic status, and most species of the Caenocoris complex are placed generically. Lectotypes are designated for 22 species of Lygaeinae from Australia and neighboring regions. Information is given on synonymy and generic placement of these and some other species.
