Tautomycin isolated fromStreptomyces spiroverticillatus is an inhibitor of protein phosphatases 1 and 2A. Tautomycin induced hyperphosphorylation of cytokeratin peptides in human keratinocytes (PHK 16-I cells) 30 times less strongly than did okadaic acid.
