The following valvular disorders are considered here in the context of competitive athletes: mitral stenosis (MS), mitral regurgitation (MR), aortic stenosis (AS), aortic regurgitation (AR), tricuspid regurgitation (TR), tricuspid stenosis, and multivalvular disease.
