A20 or tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-induced protein 3 (TNFAIP3) is a negative regulator of nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB). We have investigated whether polymorphisms in this gene are associated with increased atherosclerosis in diabetic patients.
