STUDY OBJECTIVE To determine whether intravenous therapy with amrinone changes number, location or function of the beta-adrenergic receptors on lymphocytes. DESIGN Case series. SETTING Veterans hospital coronary care unit. PATIENTS Eleven patients with decompensated class III or IV heart failure.
