The reduction of displaced pelvic ring injuries remains a technical challenge, especially when treatment is delayed. A pelvic frame (Orthopaedic Systems Inc, Union City, California) provides a means of external skeletal fixation, rigidly stabilizing the intact hemipelvis to the operating room table.
