In this paper we report two new pterodactyloid pterosaurs from the Jiufotang Formation inwestern Liaoning Province of northeast China. They are Chaoyangopterus zhangi gen. et sp. nov.(Nyctosauridae) and Liaoningopterus gui gen. et sp. nov.(Anhangueridae). The former not only represents the first such record in Asia but also the earliest record and most complete skeleton of the family. Some revisions of the family are made, such as having four wing digits and well developed manual digits…
A new azhdarchoid pterosaur from the Lower Cretaceous of China and its implications for pterosaur phylogeny and evolution
TLDR
A complete, articulated skeleton of a 1.4-m-wingspan pterosaur from the Lower Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation of Liaoning Province, China is reported and it is identified as a new genus and species, Shenzhoupterus chaoyangensis gen. nov.
A primitive istiodactylid pterosaur (Pterodactyloidea) from the Jiufotang Formation (Early Cretaceous), northeast China
TLDR
The palatal anatomy of Hongshanopterus lacustris agrees with previous hypothesis that considers Istiodactylidae more closely related to the Anhangueridae than to Pteranodon.
Nurhachius luei, a new istiodactylid pterosaur (Pterosauria, Pterodactyloidea) from the Early Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation of Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province (China) and comments on the Istiodactylidae
A new istiodactylid pterosaur, Nurhachius luei sp. nov., is here reported based on a complete skull with mandible and some cervical vertebrae from the lower part of the Jiufotang Formation of western
Nurhachius luei, a new istiodactylid pterosaur (Pterosauria, Pterodactyloidea) from the Early Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation of Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province (China) ; and comments on the group
We present A new istiodactylid pterosaur, Nurhachius luei sp. nov., is here reported based on a complete skull with mandible and some cervical vertebrae from the lower part of the Jiufotang Formation
A Possible Azhdarchid Pterosaur from the Lower Cretaceous Qingshan Group of Laiyang, Shandong, China
ABSTRACT A new pterodactyloid pterosaur is identified from the Early Cretaceous Doushan Formaiton of Laiyang, Shandong Province, China, based on a fragmentary humerus. The humerus exhibits several
A new specimen of Sinopterus dongi (Pterosauria, Tapejaridae) from the Jiufotang Formation (Early Cretaceous, China)
TLDR
A new postcranial specimen, D3072, is presented, which is attributed to the type-species of the genus, Sinopterus dongi, which helps shed some new light in the osteology of Sinopteri complex, hopefully serving as a basis for future comparative studies involving further specimens and other proposed species and, subsequently, taxonomic revisions.
A NEW SPECIES OF ISTIODACTYLUS (PTEROSAURIA, PTERODACTYLOIDEA) FROM THE LOWER CRETACEOUS OF LIAONING, CHINA
Abstract Istiodactylus sinensis, sp. nov., from the Jiufotang Formation of Liaoning, People's Republic of China, is described on the basis of a single nearly complete and nearly osteologically adult

A new boreopterid pterosaur: Zhenyuanopterus longirostris gen. et sp. nov. from the Yixian Formation of western Liaoning is erected, based on the complete skeleton with a skull and lower jaws
Pterosaur diversity and faunal turnover in Cretaceous terrestrial ecosystems in China
TLDR
Two new pterosaurs that are referred to European groups previously unknown in deposits of northeastern China are reported, showing a wide range of groups including both primitive and derived forms that are not matched by any other deposit in the world.
A new toothed pterosaur (Pterodactyloidea: Anhangueridae) from the Early Cretaceous Romualdo Formation, NE Brazil.
TLDR
The lateral surface of the premaxillary crest shows grooves and tridimensional structures that may have housed blood vessels in the Anhangueridae from the Araripe Basin described.
