The physical mechanism of the solar-terrestrial weather-climate relationship, in which thunderclouds play a key role is proposed. The mechanism shows the way how small changes of energy observed after solar activity changes are amplified in the atmosphere up to values to influence weather and climate. The thunderclouds are an amplifier and a coupling agent between the upper atmosphere and the troposphere. Water vapor in the troposphere is the energy source of this amplifier. The physical… Expand
