Thermal fluctuations of the color superconducting order parameter in dense quark matter are investigated in terms of the phenomenological Ginzburg - Lan- dau approach. Our estimates show that fluctuations of the diquark gap may strongly affect some of the thermodynamic quantities even far below and above the critical temperature. If the critical temperature Tc of the diquark phase tran- sition were rather high ( > (50 ÷ 70) MeV) one could expect a manifestation of fluctuations of the diquark…

Precursor of color superconductivity in hot quark matter
We investigate possible precursory phenomena of color superconductivity in quark matter at finite temperature T with use of a simple Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. It is found that the fluctuating pair
Meissner Effect for “Color” Superconducting Quark Matter
The behavior of the magnetic field inside the superconducting quark matter core of a neutron star is investigated in the framework of the Ginzburg-Landau theory. We take into account the simultaneous
Light quarks in the instanton vacuum at finite baryon density
We consider the finite density, zero-temperature behavior of quark matter in the instanton picture. Since the instanton-induced interactions are attractive in both $\overline{q}q$ and $\mathrm{qq}$
Diquark Condensates and Compact Star Cooling
The effect of color superconductivity on the cooling of quark stars and neutron stars with large quark cores is investigated. Various known and new quark-neutrino processes are studied. As a result,
Superfluid phases of quark matter: Ginzburg-Landau theory and color neutrality
We systematically apply Ginzburg-Landau theory to determine BCS pairing in a strongly coupled uniform superfluid of three-flavor massless quarks in flavor equilibrium. We elucidate the phase diagram
Cooling of hybrid neutron stars and hypothetical self-bound objects with superconducting quark cores
We study the consequences of superconduct- ing quark cores (with color-flavor-locked phase as repre- sentative example) for evolution of temperature proles and the cooling curves in quark-hadron
THE SEARCH FOR THE QUARK-GLUON PLASMA
▪ Abstract We provide an overview of the present understanding of the transition from hadrons to a quark-gluon plasma, its signatures, and the experimental results so far. We discuss results of
