The primary circuit components of very high temperature reactors (VHTRs) experience various unwanted fission products such as Kr, Xe, I, Cs, Sr, and Ag. These particle are generated during normal operation of the reactor from abaration, cracks and/or deffects are transported by the helium coolant.
