This study examines the use of case studies in the teaching of corporate finance. A review of the literature posits mainly the advantages of using the case method. Harvard and Darden are leading exponents of the use of the Case Method in corporate finance. Our own experience in using the case method in Australia and South African corporate finance courses confirm the very real benefits of using the case method in the teaching of corporate finance.
