Precision measurement of the scalar perturbation spectral index, ns, from the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe temperature angular power spectrum requires the subtraction of unresolved point source power. Here we reconsider this issue, attempting to resolve inconsistencies found in the literature.
