  • This paper documents the lessons, successes, and challenges gained during an 18-month pilot intervention by the Brooke Hospital for Animals in Ethiopia, through its work supporting government veterinary services and community animal health workers (CAHWs) in the provision of equine health services. Targeted CAHWs have increased their monthly case load from around 5 to 64 equines per month since they received equine training.
