Background: To describe clinical outcomes in a series of patients with tractional cystoid macular edema, a variant of vitreomacular traction syndrome. Methods: Twelve consecutive patients (15 eyes) with tractional cystoid macular edema of maximum diameter of ⩽550 &mgr;m and presenting corrected-distance visual acuity of ⩽0.3 (Snellen ≥20/40) were studied. Each patient underwent ophthalmic examination, including visual acuity testing in the logarithm of the minimal angle of resolution system…
CLINICAL COURSE OF VITREOMACULAR ADHESION MANAGED BY INITIAL OBSERVATION
TLDR
In this selected patient cohort with mild symptoms, the clinical course of patients with VMA managed by initial observation was generally favorable.

TLDR
Spontaneous resolution of VMT and VMA was rare, whereas disease progression resulting in PPV was more common, and better visual acuity outcomes were found in eyes with spontaneous resolution compared to the other groups.
Cystoid Macular Edema: Causes, Diagnosis and Treatment
TLDR
It is found that disruption of the blood-retinal barrier for various reasons is the key point in the pathogenesis of cystoid macular edema, therefore it is believed that studies on its treatment should proceed on this path.
A Review of Current Management of Vitreomacular Traction and Macular Hole
TLDR
A treatment algorithm to be used in clinical practice in patients with VMA, VMT, and MH based on the presence of symptoms, visual acuity, associated epiretinal membrane, and width of the vitreous attachment is presented.
Pars Plana Vitrectomy for Vitreomacular Traction Syndrome: Analysing the Preoperative Prognostic Factors
TLDR
The preoperative BCVA plays a predictive role in the surgical outcome of patients with VMT undergoing pars plana vitrectomy, and no other preoperative OCT characteristics demonstrated prognostic potential.
V.A.2. Vitreomaculopathy Surgery
TLDR
Since macular pucker is a very frequent pathology that often progresses slowly, the optimum time for surgery remains unclear and in some cases in spite of an adequate removal of the premacular membrane, visual outcomes are unsatisfactory.
A novel spectral-domain optical coherence tomography model to estimate changes in vitreomacular traction syndrome
TLDR
The more the vitreomacular interface area reduced over time, the higher was the chance of spontaneous VMT resolution and an area below 101002 μm2 was the threshold value indicating a higher chance of spontaneously release of VMT.
Prevalence of Vitreoretinal Interface Abnormalities as Detected by Spectral-Domain Optical Coherence Tomography
TLDR
The prevalence of vitreomacular abnormalities within a Belgian study cohort was reported and results closely match previously reported data on the prevalence of VMT.

Foveal cysts: a premacular hole condition associated with vitreous traction.
TLDR
Foveal cyst seems to be a common finding in patients with foveal traction from a variety of mechanisms and may remain stable, develop full-thickness holes, or develop a PVD with resolution of the cystic changes.
DIAGNOSIS OF VITREORETINAL ADHESIONS IN MACULAR DISEASE WITH OPTICAL COHERENCE TOMOGRAPHY
TLDR
OCT is more sensitive than biomicroscopy in identifying vitreoretinal adhesions associated with macular disease, and is associated with partial separation of the posterior hyaloid face.
