  • This paper shows some of the results of a survey about studies on human behavior in fires in Japan. The main topics are related to case studies of human behavior in fires and human behavior based on fire data. Emphasis is given to the importance of public education for the reduction of fire losses (human and property) not only by actions taken in a fire incident but also by fire preventive actions.
