The Eocene crustacean fauna found in the "Main" quarry of Arzignano (Vicenza NE Italy) has been studied for twenty years and the number of species is still increasing. Up to now the known species are 53 and belong to 20 families: Callianassidae, Albuneidae, Diogenidae, Dromiidac, Dynomenidae, Raninidae, Calappidae, Hepatidae, Majidae, Dairidae, Parthenopidae, Retroplumidae, Cheiragonidae, Portunidae, Carpiliidae, Goneplacidae, Pilumnidae, Xanthidae, Palicidae and Grapsidae. Lophoranina maxima Beschin, Busulini, De Angeli & Tessier, 2004 (Decapoda Brachyura, Raninidae) from Lower Eocene laminites of the “Pesciara di Bolca” (Verona, northeast Italy)

The sole specimen of a raninid crab found to date in the Lower Eocene Fossil-Lagerstätte of the “Pesciara di Bolca” (Verona, northeast Italy) and referred to Lophoranina maxima, is described. Results

A WORLDWIDE REVISION OF THE RECENT AND FOSSIL SAND CRABS OF THE ALBUNEIDAE STIMPSON AND BLEPHARIPODIDAE, NEW FAMILY (CRUSTACEA: DECAPODA: ANOMURA: HIPPOIDEA)

The state of taxonomic knowledge regarding the Albuneidae is summarized; the family is divided into two new subfamilies; two new genera and six new species of albuneids are described; and new information on species' ranges and biology is presented.

The family Goneplacidae MacLeay, 1838 (Crustacea: Decapoda: Brachyura): systematics, phylogeny, and fossil records

The present analysis suggests that the Goneplacidae is divided into six subfamilies, and supports recognition of the family Pseudoziidae Alcock by Ng and Liao and suggests that it is the sister to the Eriphiidae MacLeay.

Decapod Crustaceans from the Eocene Castle Hayne Formation, North Carolina: Paleoceanographic Implications

An Updated Classification Of The Recent Crustacea

An updated classification of the Crustacea down to the level of family is provided. The classification is based loosely on that given by Bowman and Abele (1982) and includes all new families and

IN DECAPOD CRUSTACEA

The neuromusculature in the telsons of three macrurans and three anomurans are compared to provide a frame work for neurophysiological comparisons of their roles in the swimming behaviors of these decapods.
