Sedentary life style is an independent risk factor for chronic disease especially metabolic syndrome such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Overweight and obesity has become a serious public health problem worldwide. On the other hand, metabolic syndrome is highly prevalent among 30-70 year olds of Iranian population. Physical inactivity, Lifestyle modification and subsequent weight gain may lead to a higher prevalence of metabolic syndrome. The lack of sufficient time and…

Comparing the effect of 10 weeks High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Moderate Intensity Aerobic Training (MIAT) on C-reactive protein level and lipid profiles in overweight inactive men
TLDR
The ten weeks HIIT training can cause favorable changes in body fat percentage, lipid profile and CRP level in overweight students.
THE PSYCHOTERAPEUTIC INTERVENTIONS AND STRATEGIES FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTSWITH BEHAVIOURAL DISORDERS: THE INCREDIBLE YEARS TREATMENT PROGRAM
TLDR
Sciences for Mother and Child Health Promotion, University of Palermo, Italy and departments of Psychological, Pedagogical and Educational Sciences are studied.
Normoksik ve Hipoksik Koşullarda Uygulanan Yüksek Şiddetli İnterval Antrenman Programının Kan Yağ Parametreleri Üzerine Etkisi
TLDR
HIIT antrenmanlarinin, hem normoksik ve hemdehipoksik sartlarda uygulanmasi kan yag profili uzerinde pozitif etkide bulundugu tespit edilmistir (p<0.05).
The Effect of Eight Weeks of Interval Aerobic Training with Green Tea and Ginger Consumption on Lipid Profiles of Overweight Women
TLDR
Interval aerobic training with supplementation of green tea and ginger has beneficial effects on the lipid profile of overweight women, but interval aerobic training and green Tea and ginger consumption, separately or combined can have effects on lipid profileof overweight women.

A 10-week aerobic exercise program reduces cardiometabolic disease risk in overweight/obese female African university students.
TLDR
A 10-week 30-session Tae-bo exercise program was effective in reducing traditional risk factors associated with cardio-metabolic disease in overweight/obese university students.
Exercise training improves body composition, blood lipid profile and serum insulin levels in obese children.
TLDR
While treating obesity in children, a major emphasis should be directed towards increasing regular physical activity and supported with dietary interventions so that the risk of other chronic diseases often associated with obesity could be minimized thereby improving the quality of life.
The effect of 12 weeks of aerobic, resistance or combination exercise training on cardiovascular risk factors in the overweight and obese in a randomized trial
TLDR
A 12-week training program comprising of resistance or combination exercise, at moderate-intensity for 30 min, five days/week resulted in improvements in the cardiovascular risk profile in overweight and obese participants compared to no exercise.
Low and moderate, rather than high intensity strength exercise induces benefit regarding plasma lipid profile
TLDR
Overall, low and moderate exercise intensities appear to be promoting more benefits on lipid profile than high intensity, and acute resistance exercise may induce changes in lipid profile in a specific-intensity manner.
Effects of Endurance Exercise Training on Plasma HDL Cholesterol Levels Depend on Levels of Triglycerides: Evidence From Men of the Health, Risk Factors, Exercise Training and Genetics (HERITAGE) Family Study
TLDR
It is suggested that regular endurance exercise training may be particularly helpful in men with low HDL cholesterol, elevated TGs, and abdominal obesity.
Effect of 24-week repeated short-time walking based training program on physical fitness of black Cameroonian obese women
TLDR
This training modality could constitute an option for obese women rehabilitation and show significant improvements in weight, BMI, fatty mass and 6MWD after 24 weeks.
To study the antihyperglycaemic and lipid lowering effect of garlic as an adjunct to metformin in patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus with obesity
TLDR
It was observed that both metformin and garlic reduced FBG and HbA1c significantly but percentage reduction in FBG was more with garlic but, change in Hb1c was not significant.
The improvement of large High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) particle levels, and presumably HDL metabolism, depend on effects of low-carbohydrate diet and weight loss
TLDR
Reduction of excess dietary carbohydrate and body weight improved large HDL levels, and regression analysis indicated that magnitude of carbohydrate restriction and weight loss were each independent predictors of 1-year increases in large HDL concentration.
High-Intensity Interval Resistance Training (HIRT) influences resting energy expenditure and respiratory ratio in non-dieting individuals
TLDR
The data suggest that shorter HIRT sessions may increase REE after exercise to a greater extent than TT and may reduce RR hence improving fat oxidation.
Obesity in the Iranian population
TLDR
Prevalence of obesity and overweight among 30–70 years old, especially among women, was higher than expected, and a comprehensive educational programme on obesity risk factors and obesity‐related diseases is necessary.
