We present new measurements of the centers for 65 Milky Way globular clusters. Centers were determined by fitting ellipses to the density distribution within the inner 2′ of the cluster center, and averaging the centers of these ellipses. The symmetry of clusters was also analyzed by comparing cumulative radial distributions on opposite sides of the cluster across a grid of trial centers. All of the determinations were done with stellar positions derived from a combination of two single-orbit…

- 2014
We used the PMAS integral field spectrograph to obtain large sets of radial velocities in the central regions of three northern Galactic globular clusters: M3, M13, and M92. By applying the novel…
Proper motions and membership probabilities of stars in the region of globular cluster NGC 6809
- Physics
- 2012
NGC 6809 is a luminous metal-poor halo globular cluster that is relatively easy to study due to its proximity and low concentration. Because of its high Galactic latitude (b = -23deg), interstellar…

Two distinct sequences of blue straggler stars in the globular cluster M 30
- PhysicsNature
- 2009
It is suggested that the two observed sequences of blue stragglers in M 30 are a consequence of cluster core collapse, with the bluer population arising from direct stellar collisions and the redder one arising from the evolution of close binaries that are probably still experiencing an active phase of mass transfer.
