In this paper, we propose a new Time-Driven Mesh (TDM) overlay network for peer-to-peer video-on-demand systems. In our TDM, all of the peers construct a mesh network connected among them in chronological order of their playback starting times. In order to efficiently search multiple streaming suppliers, we manage the playback starting time and the network location information for all of the peers using a distributed hash table.
