Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is associated with pulmonary and systemic inflammation. Both CD4+ and CD8+ T-lymphocytes play a key role in COPD pathogenesis, but cytokine profiles in circulating T-lymphocytes have not been well characterised.
