    • ABSTRACT Allomedeia new genus is described for five new species of oscinelline Chloropidae from the Afrotropical region. The following species are described; Allomedeia prolata new species (Kenya, Uganda); Allomedeia pulva new species (South Africa); Allomedeia stuckenbergi new species (South Africa); Allomedeia xanthotes new species (South Africa, type species of genus); and Allomedeia xuthomaina new species (Nigeria).
