We present a systematic review of studies documenting neural functional alterations after mindfulness training in adult samples. Adolescence is a critical developmental period characterised by the late maturation of the prefrontal cortex and functional stabilisation, processes that are both genetically led and experience dependent. Thus adolescence could be an opportunity to redress the developmental trajectory. Adjustment problems may evolve into maladaptive behaviours and psychological…

The effect of the onset of seizure on clock drawing test score of epilepsy patients
TLDR
The onset of the seizure in epilepsy patients affect CDT score, and this effect might be attributed to etiology and age of epilepsy patients.

The neural substrates of mindfulness: An fMRI investigation
TLDR
Functional magnetic resonance imaging was employed to identify the brain regions involved in state mindfulness and to shed light on its mechanisms of action, lending support to the theory that mindfulness achieves its positive outcomes through a process of disidentification.
Neural correlates of focused attention during a brief mindfulness induction.
TLDR
Results suggest that the neural mechanisms of a brief mindfulness induction are related to attention processes in novices and that trait mindfulness positively moderates this activation.
Minding one's emotions: mindfulness training alters the neural expression of sadness.
TLDR
Restoring balance between affective and sensory neural networks-supporting conceptual and body based representations of emotion-could be one path through which mindfulness reduces vulnerability to dysphoric reactivity.

Neural Correlates of Dispositional Mindfulness During Affect Labeling
Objective: Mindfulness is a process whereby one is aware and receptive to present moment experiences. Although mindfulness-enhancing interventions reduce pathological mental and physical health
Retraining the addicted brain: a review of hypothesized neurobiological mechanisms of mindfulness-based relapse prevention.
TLDR
It is hypothesized that MBRP may affect numerous brain systems and may reverse, repair, or compensate for the neuroadaptive changes associated with addiction and addictive-behavior relapse.
Attending to the present: mindfulness meditation reveals distinct neural modes of self-reference.
TLDR
A fundamental neural dissociation is suggested between two distinct forms of self-awareness that are habitually integrated but can be dissociated through attentional training: the self across time and in the present moment.
Mindfulness meditation training alters cortical representations of interoceptive attention.
TLDR
It is suggested that interoceptive training modulates task-specific cortical recruitment, analogous to training-related plasticity observed in the external senses, by comparing graduates of a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course to a waitlisted control group.
