The autoresonance threshold in a system of weakly coupled oscillators

A system of two weakly coupled oscillators is investigated. It is shown that under an external periodic perturbation a capture into resonance may occur. A description of this effect by the methods of

Forced nonlinear resonance in a system of coupled oscillators.

A Hamiltonian system is obtained which describes for the most part the behavior of the envelope in a special case of a resonantly perturbed system of coupled nonlinear oscillators with small dissipation and outer periodic perturbation.

Autoresonance in a dissipative system

We study the autoresonant solution of Duffing's equation in the presence of dissipation. This solution is proved to be an attracting set. We evaluate the maximal amplitude of the autoresonant

Adiabatic passage through higher order resonances in a perturbatively driven dynamical system with a slow control parameter, yields persisting phase locking and a strong long time response. The

The effect of damping on autoresonant (nonstationary) excitation

When a nonlinear oscillator with an amplitude dependent frequency is driven by a swept frequency drive, the oscillator’s amplitude will, in some circumstances, automatically adjust itself so that the

Autoresonance in a ferromagnetic plate with a stripe domain structure

Nonlinear dynamics of domain walls in a ferromagnetic plate with a stripe domain structure in an external field with slowly varying amplitude and frequency has been theoretically investigated. The

Autoresonance excitation of a breather in weak ferromagnetics

A mathematical model of the magnetodynamics of a weak ferromagnetic in an external magnetic field with variable frequency is studied. Conditions for the appearance of autoresonance are found under

Subharmonic autoresonance of the diocotron mode

This paper investigates the excitation and control of the driven l=1 diocotron mode in a pure electron plasma by adiabatic passage through higher order resonances. The excitation takes place when the

Асимптотический анализ модели циклотронного гиромагнитного авторезонанса

In mathematical modeling the autoresonance problem is to find out a solution with unbounded growing energy. In formal approach the problem is solving by construction an asymptotic solution in the

Phase-locking transition in a chirped superconducting Josephson resonator.

Near threshold, the oscillator evolves smoothly in one of two diverging trajectories, providing a way to discriminate small changes in I0 with a nonswitching detector, with potential applications in quantum state measurement.
