The synthetic aperture focusing technique (SAFT) has been shown to significantly improve the lateral resolution of monostatic imaging systems. To apply SAFT to interior imaging of cylindrical structures such as pipes or blood vessels, algorithms adapted to cylindrical measurement surfaces are needed.
