Carboxyacyl derivatives of phosphatidylethanolamine with different chain length were synthesized. These compounds were generally prepared by conversion of an appropriate dicarboxylic acid to its anhydride with dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, then reaction with phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) and triethylamine, followed by acidification.
