Bacteria obtained from the isolates of the biodiversity of riverine coast of Ganga identified as Bacillus Koriensis, when challenged with silver nitrate solution accumulated silver nanoparticles on the surface of its cell wall. These nanoparticles showed an absorption peak at 438 nm in UV-visible spectrum corresponding to the plasmon resonance of AgNPs.
