Six new macrocyclic complexes were synthesized by template reactions of salicylaldehyde derivatives with (±)-trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane and metal(II) nitrates. The metal to ligand ratio was 1 : 1. The Cu(II) complexes are proposed to be square planar and the Ni(II) and Co(II) complexes are proposed to be tetrahedral.
