Zn(2)SnO(4) nanoparticles (NPs) with a narrow size distribution were synthesized by a simple hydrothermal route by controlling the crystallization process. The average size of NPs was 8 nm, and this was attributed to the formation of a hydroxy carbonate compound as an intermediate phase, which was demonstrated by the structural and elemental analyses. The fine size and visible-transparency of the synthesized NPs enabled the fabrication of transparent films for efficient photoelectrochemical…

Hydrothermal fabrication of hierarchically macroporous Zn2SnO4 for highly efficient dye-sensitized solar cells.
TLDR
The smaller pore size of Zn(2)SnO(4) exhibits higher photovoltaic performance, which is ascribed to the higher dye loading, faster electron transport rate and slower electron recombination rate, and the double layered photoelectrode shows a remarkable enhancement in power conversion efficiency.
Synthesis and photocatalytic activity of Zn2SnO4 nanotube arrays
Highly ordered Zn2SnO4 nanotubes have been fabricated via a convenient hydrothermal approach by using a ZnO nanorod array as the template. The tips of the as-prepared nanotubes are all round sealed
Incorporating Zn2SnO4 quantum dots and aggregates for enhanced performance in dye-sensitized ZnO solar cells.
TLDR
The performance of dye-sensitized ZnO solar cells was improved by a facile surface-treatment approach through chemical-bath deposition and the open-circuit photovoltage was greatly enhanced, which can be ascribed to the increased conduction-band edge of Zn O and inhibited interfacial charge recombination.
Macroporous SnO2 synthesized via a template-assisted reflux process for efficient dye-sensitized solar cells.
TLDR
A double-layer structure composed of SnO2 nanoparticles (active layer) and macroporous SnO 2 (scattering layer) possess both large dye adsorption and scattering property, which leads to a significant overall conversion efficiency improvement of 5.78%.

Photoelectrochemical study of the band structure of Zn(2)SnO(4) prepared by the hydrothermal method.
TLDR
The reverse trend observed for the open-circuit voltage in certain DSC electrolytes is explained in terms of the higher rates of electron-triiodide recombination of TiO(2) despite the lower position of the Zn( 2)SnO(4) CB in the vacuum scale.
