}Dicyclopentadiene monomaleate(DHCM),a new functional monomer,was prepared by hydrolysis of maleic anhydride(MA) followed by acid-catalyzed addition reaction with dicyclopentadiene(DCPD),and the yield of DHCM was up to 90% with its purity exceeding 85%.The molecular structure of product was characterized by EA,FT-IR spectroscopy and GC-MS,and the synthetic technology and performance of DHCM were also studied.
