A Schiff base 3 has been synthesized by equimolar reaction (condensation) of sulfonamide i.e. sulfamethoxypyridazine 1 and substituted aromatic aldehyde i.e. 2-Hydroxy-1-Napthalene aldehyde 2. The synthesized Schiff base 3 and its Metal (II) complexes were characterized by its physical, analytical (CHN analysis) and spectral (UV & IR) analysis.
