A new ligand, naringenin-2-hydroxy benzoyl hydrazone (H(5)L), was prepared by condensation of naringenin with 2-hydroxy benzoyl hydrazine. Its Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) complexes have also been synthesized and characterized on the basis of (1)H-NMR, IR, UV-Vis spectra, elemental analyses, molar conductivity and thermal analyses.
