Abstract A novel inorganic–organic hybrid supramolecular compound, [(3-nitroanilinium + )(18-crown-6)][IO 4 − ](CH 3 OH) ( 1 ), was discovered as phase-transition materials displaying dielectric anomalous behaviors.
