Synopsis of the Iberian Chelotrupes Jekel, 1866 species is presented. Chelotrupes algarvicus sp. nov., C. brancoi sp. nov. and C. feryi sp. nov. (all from Portugal), C. hendrichi sp. nov. and C. kyliesi sp. nov. (both from Spain) are described. Chelotrupes laevipennis (Mulsant et Godart, 1855), sp. restit. is removed from synonymy with C. momus (Olivier, 1789) and regarded as a separate species.
