RC-RNase purified from Rana catesbeiana (bullfrog) oocytes is a pyrimidine-guanine sequence-specific ribonuclease. RC-RNase is derived from the RNase superfamily genes exerting distinct ribonucleolytic activity and possesses cytotoxicity to tumor cells, but rarely to primary cells.
